YOUR TIMING IS DIVINE

If you’re reading this, my guess is that you know you’re here to create big, beautiful, colorful, life-giving things in this world.

Whether you’ve birthed book babies or human children, built homes or launched businesses, written songs or painted murals, I bet you’ve already created a lot.

Yet, despite all of your creations, you may feel like something is missing — like there’s more to do, express, or create.

Maybe you feel behind on a specific project or in one area of life in general. If you’ve accomplished a lot and mastered one area of life, there may still be something you long for in another area — something that’s uncreated.

Maybe you know exactly what your big dream is. Perhaps you haven’t yet received the full vision of the creation you’re here to steward.

Maybe a quiet voice or a wild vision is calling you forward — a sense of deeper fulfillment, a fuller creative expression, something that would change you.

Maybe you think it’s too late in the game, or you’re too old to begin again.

Maybe you’re “not a professional” or believe you’re too inexperienced to bring your vision into form. Perhaps you think somebody’s already done it better and sooner than you, so why bother?

Maybe you’ve been patiently waiting for your turn, for the right moment, wondering if your time will ever come.

If any of this resonates and you see yourself reflected here, you might be a late bloomer, my friend.

Which means you’re here to learn how to create at the speed of God.

It also means we’re in this together.

You and I are here to build things that stand the test of time.

World-changing, heart-opening, life-giving things.

These creations require spaciousness, devotion, and patience.

To prepare our vessels for these big dreams, lasting contributions, and full-hearted expressions, we must first learn to listen, attune to our natural rhythm, and fill our reservoir — to nurture our creations from the inside out.

Our radiance alone is one of the highest services we can offer, yet we must cultivate, refine, and amplify this inner light within ourselves before we can be a beacon to others.

To prepare our bodies, hearts, and minds to create something that’s never existed, we must gather energy for the divinely appointed moment when it’s our turn to bloom.

And we begin by redefining our relationship with time, destiny, and the creative intelligence that animates life.

This is what Late Bloomer is all about: tilling the soil of our inner landscape, clearing the weeds, composting the past, breathing life into our roots, stoking our fire of divine love, and filling our reservoir.

FROM BEHIND TO BLOOMING

For most of my life, I felt like I was behind.

Behind whom…? Behind on what…? I wasn’t sure.

I knew there was somewhere I was meant to be, and something I was meant to create.

So, I hurried to get wherever “there” was so I could find that thing, and finally get to “it.”

I wasn’t sure what “it” was, but I felt it rattling around somewhere inside me like a pebble in my shoe.

While I waited for “it” to sort itself out, I busied myself creating other people’s dreams.

For decades, I birthed nonprofits, books, essays, articles, proposals, businesses, speeches, websites, publications, events, retreats…the list goes on.

My visionary gifts and talents were being used to bring beautiful things into the world. I was living “the dream” as a well-paid creative professional (according to someone’s measuring stick). I’d “made it” to the New York Times, after all!

I spent years and years birthing other people’s dreams, yet I still hadn’t found my own — I hadn’t found “it.”

I was accomplished, successful, and in service. And I still felt empty, small, and unfulfilled.

There was still something deeper…that pebble in my shoe. I couldn’t see it, but I could feel it.

It was like a tiny seed within me, growing beneath the surface all these years, ready to burst into the sunlight like a bamboo shoot. It was that something I’d sought for so long — a nameless, formless longing.

And then, just like that, this dream seed revealed itself. No fanfare, no preparation, no dramatic entrance.

After so many years of seeking and reaching and hunting “it” down, it casually spoke to me like it had been with me all along, slightly amused by the runaround.

When it could tell it had my attention, that I was listening and responding to its presence, it revealed a whole imaginal realm inside me that I’d never seen — characters, stories, worlds, books, all waiting for me to give them a voice and a form and a home.

The soul within this little seed tossed me into the river of the story I’d been living, showed me exactly how it was all connected to what I was meant to create — THIS WAS “IT!” — and let me float through this wild inner landscape until I’d seen enough to obliterate all of my worrying and doubting and questioning.

If I’d been asleep, this is what Jung would’ve called “a big dream.” But I was awake, and my big dream decided to show its face in the light of day. It wanted to be seen clearly, not washed away by the waves of the unconscious.

I asked this story stream within me, the soul of this creative seed, what form it wanted to take, what it wanted to be in the world, and what it needed from me to get there.

It echoed a message I’d heard years back, and then it disappeared:

I want to see you bloom.

CREATING AT THE SPEED OF GOD

Once I saw the magnitude of this vision, I realized it would take time to come into form. NATURALLY!

All those years of searching, and it had been gestating, gathering energy, and growing inside me.

After all the stress, seeking, and hurry-up-and-waiting, I finally felt at peace with its divine timing.

Something within me settled.

And just like that, my relationship with “it” changed, as did my relationships with time and creation.

I wasn’t overdue; I was a late bloomer by design!

I hadn’t faltered; I was being prepared.

I wasn’t on the field yet because I was training to play a different game.

The fear that I was behind, that I’d missed my moment, that my biological clock had run out while I was birthing other people’s dreams — dissolved.

The sinking feeling that I’d die unfulfilled and unexpressed and my dream would perish with me — disintegrated.

Beneath all of my self-imposed deadlines and ticking clocks hummed a creative intelligence.

I was learning to create at the speed of God.

And one thing I’ve learned is that the speed of God is usually faster or slower than you expect it to be.

Whether you’re here to bloom annually or once a century, it’s all by design.

God is always on time. And nature is never late.

Late bloomer is for the part of you…

Who is playing the long game. Who is here to create a legacy, a lasting impact, a BIG dream.

Who wants to live and create at a slower tempo. Who wants a sacred space to pause from all the going / doing / producing / mental mazes / strategies.

Who has created so much already, yet is still longing for something more.

Who gives A LOT to others and desires more spaciousness, compassion, and creative freedom for yourself.

Who feels unfulfilled, unexpressed, or uncertain. Who feels tired, doubtful, or overwhelmed.

Who is afraid you’re running out of time and wondering if your time will ever come.

“Adopt the pace of nature: her secret is patience.”
— Ralph Waldo Emerson

MY PROMISE TO YOU

I cannot promise that what you’re longing for will magically appear during our time together (this is not quick-hit manifestation sh*t…that’s the point!).

I promise you this: if you show up for yourself and this experience whole-heartedly, you will cultivate a more profound sense of trust in yourself and life, emerge with a feeling of spaciousness, and establish a life-giving connection to your creative vision.

If you open the door to let grace in, allow yourself to settle into stillness, commit to gathering energy and filling your inner reservoir, you’ll prepare yourself to bloom in your own natural (and divine) timing.

Late Bloomer is:

An opportunity…

To throw away the external measuring sticks, ticking clocks, and leaderboards.

To accept and embrace where you are on your path with more grace and kindness.

To learn the difference between a divine delay and your own resistance.

To discern a natural death cycle from a premature cut-and-run.

To offer yourself and your dreams the gifts of spaciousness, generosity, and gentleness.

To know yourself more deeply and discover your own unique template and natural timing.

To breathe life into your inner landscape, tend your own garden, and fill your reservoir first.

To remember what it feels like to create from overflow, beaming with life, sourced from within.

Late Bloomer is NOT:

A push for fast results after a long delay.

An accountability space.

A goal-driven experience.

Rather, this sacred time together is a break from your role as a taskmaster, do-er, and producer.

It’s an opportunity to release your focus on outcomes and results, and return to your natural creative rhythm.

Paradoxically, as you slow down, you may receive a flood of divine inspiration, and your creative expression may naturally begin to flow. That may be a side benefit, yet it’s not the goal!
