Design Your Transformational

Story Map

Turn the story of your life into a life-changing story.

⋗⋗⋗

You’ve answered your soul’s calling, walked through the fires of initiation and rebirth, and now it’s time to share your story of transformation.

You want to write a book that carries the wisdom, gifts, and insight of your experience to those who are meant to receive it.

You sense that it’s time to create something that lives beyond you.

Hindsight has blessed you with perspective, and it’s time to communicate what you’ve lived and learned so far.

The calling to share your story arrives with new questions:

Can I really write a book? What kind of book will it be? How will I offer something valuable to the reader? Which stories do I share? Where do I start?!

You know you’re not meant to rush or force the process of birthing this book, to squeeze your narrative into a cookie-cutter format, or to “bang it out” in the old system.

Just as the story you’ve lived had its distinctive path and divine timing, sharing that story has its unique form — a structure, rhythm, pulse, and voice that takes the reader on a journey of growth, reflection, and change.

Writing this kind of book is a labor of love. It requires maturity, devotion, perseverance, and a willingness to be transformed in the process.

Creating something that stands the test of time takes time.

⋗⋗⋗

Your once-in-a-lifetime story needs a one-of-a-kind map.

When I left the publishing industry to focus on my work as an intuitive and creative guide, many writers came to me seeking story mentorship and support with birthing their books.

These writers had lived epic tales of awakening and transformation. Through our work, they began to ask deeper questions, seek a new direction beyond traditional models, and uncover a distinctive template for their transformational books.

The Story Map method naturally emerged from guiding so many people through a similar self-discovery process that required their participation, invention, and contemplation to design a book that felt true to their style.

Other approaches to outlining and writing a book emphasize speed, use prescriptive structures, and prioritize mainstream palatability.

Story Map focuses on depth, nuance, artistry, and taking the time to craft a book that conveys the power of your experience and holds the purest transmission of your story of transformation.

Your Story Map is the foundation for your book’s soul, structure, character, and voice.

If you’re ready to embark on your book journey and discover its unique form, I invite you to apply for the next Story Map cohort!

Writing a book is like building a house.

You’re not interested in building a run-of-the-mill prefab house or writing a generic self-help book (zzzzzzzzz). You’re here to design a custom, one-of-a-kind creation that’s true to your vision, gifts, and style.

When you commit to a long-term project like building a house, you know you're in for a journey. It’s a multi-year marathon with a crew of teammates, lots of moving parts, and shifting timelines, even if the plans are executed seamlessly in every phase.

Birthing a book is a similar long-term creation that requires a solid foundation, though many first-timers don’t realize that at the outset.

Would you begin building your house by gathering raw materials and a few power tools and constructing pop-up structures without architectural plans, permits, or contractors?

Would your first step be hiring an interior designer before there were walls or rooms to decorate, or planting trees where you might later put the kitchen?

Would you start by dabbling and experimenting with different parts of the build and then head back to the drawing board to deconstruct things and see what’s next?

These examples seem absurd in the context of building a house, but many people approach their books this way.

There is much more to “writing” a book than just dumping words into a Word doc.

You need different skills and support in each phase, and there’s a sequence to the process because each phase builds on the next.

  • Phase 1: Outline + Mapping <— you are here!

  • Phase 2: Writing + Editing

  • Phase 3: Publication + Launch

Many people attempt to start their book journey in Phase 2 by writing their book with no plan, structure, or direction, which can last for years.

Some people fast-forward to Phase 3 and begin by researching their publishing options, writing a book proposal, or trying to find an agent, which ends up being a waste of time, energy, and resources without the foundational elements in place first.

Others bounce around and try a little bit of everything across all three phases at once, which only creates confusion and overwhelm.

There’s a reason Phase 1 comes first!

Story Map is your guide for the first phase of your book's development.

It will help you clarify these questions (and more):

  • What kind of book are you writing? Identifying your genre isn’t just about the Amazon category or where your book will land in the bookstore; it’s a foundational choice that will affect your outline, POV, story selection, market research, and voice.

  • What is your main idea? What is the lesson or argument you’re conveying in your book? What are you fighting for (personally)? Why does it matter (universally)? Developing your premise and clarifying your core message may sound simple, but this distillation can be one of the most challenging parts of your outline.

  • Who is your reader? Yes, there is ONE. In writing, and in most things, one size does NOT fit all. What do you know about the person you’re writing to? What are their challenges, fears, desires, and dreams? What are they unaware of? What do they already know about your topic? Are you writing for yourself or the reader (or a little bit of both)?

  • What is the narrative arc and structure of your book? What theme is driving your transformational story? What’s the internal and external state change that occurs throughout the book? How will the protagonist get from Point A to Point B? Are you clear on your timeline and how you’re moving between past and present? What unique structure can hold it all together?

When you start with this intentional design and focus on the core elements of your story first, you’ll set the foundation for the next two phases of your book journey. From here, writing your book is a natural progression, and you have the main story elements clarified to consider your publishing options.

The Story Map process sets you up to build your book from the ground up with intention, clarity, and focus.

Meet Your Guide: Kristina Marie

For more than a decade, I worked as a journalist and an editor at top national magazines, including Travel + Leisure and T magazine at the New York Times

Since launching Voyages of the Spirit nine years ago, I’ve combined my publishing skills, intuitive gifts, and creative wisdom to mentor leaders, visionaries, artists, and storytellers.

I guide my clients in structuring their transformational stories and birthing their books, awakening their creative genius, discovering their personal mythology, and building an ecosystem for their life’s work.

If you're here to share the full spectrum of your human experience, tell true stories that are rich in heart and soul, and write a book that transforms the lives of others, you’re in the right place.

THE STORY MAP IMMERSION IS FOR YOU IF:

  • You’ve journeyed deep into yourself, the underworld, and the unseen realms — you’ve died, been reborn, and lived to tell the tale. You know you’re meant to share this story and message with the world.

  • You know that part of your integration process is sharing your story of transformation, and you want to do it in a way that will impact your readers.

  • The traditional guidance about outlining and writing a book feels uninspiring, irrelevant, or outdated, and you want a more soulful, inventive approach.

  • You’re a devoted, creative, heart-centered leader, and sharing your transformational story is part of your soul’s calling.

  • You’re ready, willing, and committed to building a solid foundation for your creative contribution.

  • You know this is a legacy project, and you’re committed to the long game of publishing your book in an aligned way. You value quality and excellence and want to write a book you’re proud of and that lives beyond you.

  • You sense deep down that you have a meaningful story to share (even if you don’t think you’re a “writer”).

  • Inexplicably, beyond logic, you feel that this journey of creative expression is meant for you.

THE STORY MAP IMMERSION IS NOT FOR YOU IF:

  • You’re writing a how-to guide, a lead magnet, or outlining your book in a prescriptive, academic, or workbook style.

  • You use Ai in your writing, creative process, or as a spiritual guide.

  • You’re set on a hard deadline for outlining, writing, and publishing your book.

  • You’re still living a “hero’s journey” and want to structure your story accordingly.

  • You’re looking for a quick fix, a done-for-you system, or a “bang it out” process.

  • You’re unwilling to research, explore, and develop your idea beyond your personal experience.

What participants are saying about their Story Map experience:

“One word I’d use to summarize what this experience brought me is insight. By insight, I mean not only the personal aha moments, but also an inner sight. Inner sight into my own journey, into the process of storytelling, into the journey of the reader, and into the shared intersections between my journey and theirs. What I’ve been able to see through this process has provided clarity, confidence, and a whole host of other things, but overall it’s given me a tremendous inner sight.”

Luke Iorio: Partner + Board Member at Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (iPEC)

"This is a book that I was scared to write. And it's the book I was meant to write. I've found it's important to hire masterful guides and invest in quality support when you're undertaking such a huge calling."

Katerina Satori: Leadership Mentor + Mystical Guide

“Honestly, the Story Map process taught me a lot about myself. It was a personally transformative journey that was then translated into the book. This book is already connecting with people in ways I could never anticipate. “

Brandon Bozarth: Coach + Guide + Channel

⋗⋗⋗

Chelsey Scaffidi: Matrescence Educator + Author of The Mother Year

“When I came to Kristina, I knew I wanted to write about my first year of motherhood and had a good base of content. But my idea was just a seed that needed a lot of care to ensure it would grow and flourish.

In the Story Map group and our 1:1 work, I received clarity about the narrative structure of how to share my stories and learned about cultivating a relationship with my readers, which I hadn’t considered before our work.

Having conversations with my readers unlocked so much for me — it made the book come alive. The input from other mothers motivated me and added so much depth to the book and my writing.

Kristina helped me feel more grounded and confident as a writer. Our work together informed a whole body of work beyond the book — developing the seasons of motherhood and what I now teach about matrescence.

Working with Kristina was the most supportive thing I’ve done on my writing journey.”

⋗⋗⋗

Aaron Rose: Transformational Coach + Spiritual Business Mentor

“Kristina is a true master of transformational storytelling, and I recommend her creative mentorship to any leader who knows they have a story they’re meant to tell and wants to do right by it.

When we began working on my manuscript, I knew the finished product wasn’t at the level of excellence, impact, and authenticity it could be. I couldn’t put my finger on what was off about it (nor could the professional publishing team I worked with at the time).

Kristina’s expert insights helped me see what was missing, identify the inconsistencies in tone, and fill in the gaps in the structure.

She taught me how to create an immersive journey for the reader that made the lessons tangible, relatable, and lasting. The book transformed, and I transformed.

I understood my own story better. I learned how to write a book that would fulfill my soul’s mission, not just check the boxes.”

⋗⋗⋗

Majo Molfino: Author of Break the Good Girl Myth + Host of the Heroine podcast

“One of the things I value most about working with Kristina is her wide range of gifts — she has the ability to transmit both grounded and esoteric wisdom.

Her creative guidance was instrumental in the development of my first book, Break the Good Girl Myth (HarperOne), and it was her inspiration that led to my first episode of the HEROINE podcast.

After our sessions, I feel a deeper connection to myself and my truth, and more aligned with my work as an artist.”

⋗⋗⋗

James Rohr: L.Ac. + Host of the Pleasure Points podcast

“Kristina bridges the physical and the metaphysical — the raw, real, and grounded with the depths of mystery, where creativity and true expression exist. Working with her was a blessing.

I was afraid my stories of intuition, magic, and healing might be too ‘out there’ for an editor to take me seriously. She provided a safe and encouraging space while also being direct and to the point.

If you’ve got a story to tell, no matter where you are in that process, reach out to Kristina. Your creative soul and your future readers will thank you!”

⋗⋗⋗

Elle Luna: Artist + Author of The Crossroads of Should and Must and Your Story is Your Power

“Kristina can support writers in both parts of the book process — first, the harvesting of ideas and the seeking of truth, and then in the highly skilled process of refining, editing, and shaping the final product.

Anyone who has the chance to work with her will see their writing burst forth beyond themselves and into the divine realms where healing can be found — for writer and reader alike.

Working with Kristina has been a MUST for my work and my life.”

⋗⋗⋗

Vanessa Koch: Artist, Designer + Founder of Paladar Studio

“In my work with Kristina, we let go of my story having a specific format, which opened up so much for me artistically and allowed for the clarity I was seeking to come through in a different way.

I learned patience and I feel a maturity with the creative process that wasn’t there before our work. I developed a dedication to engage with this project long-term and show up consistently.

I used to feel a rush to ship things quickly, but now I’m committed to bringing this project into the world in its own time.”
